abroad.
1. You'll need to register the phone for roaming. Call your phone company! 2. Be careful to find out the price first - it can be very expensive! For example: Virgin: 0.60 GBP per minute from Europe/Australia/NZ up to 1.50 GBP per minute for Latin America and the Caribbean.
3. Also, beware that it is very expensive to receive calls too! For example: Virgin: 30p to receive calls from Europe up to 80p from Latin America and the Caribbean. 4. Sending text messages is cheaper, for example 25p per text from anywhere. 5. You need a special triband phone if you wish to use a mobile in the USA. The usual ones just don't work!
